Drug-Free ADHD Support in Peachtree City, GA

If your child cannot sit still for homework, loses focus mid-sentence, or melts down over small frustrations, you have probably been told the options are medication or wait and see.

At The Brainery in Peachtree City, we offer a third path: a drug-free, brain-based approach to ADHD that starts with how the nervous system is actually working. We are a holistic chiropractic and functional neurology practice, and we build every plan around the individual person in front of us.

We do not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication. What we do is assess the brain-body connection, find where attention and self-regulation break down, and use gentle, non-invasive care to support focus, calm, and follow-through. Here is how it works, who it helps, and what to expect.

What is a functional neurology approach to ADHD?

Functional neurology is a drug-free approach that uses targeted brain and body exercises to improve how different regions of the nervous system communicate. For ADHD, it focuses on the networks that govern attention, impulse control, and self-regulation, rather than managing symptoms with medication alone.

ADHD is common. The National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH) reports that about 11.4% of children ages 3 to 17, roughly 7 million kids, have been diagnosed with ADHD. Many families want to understand what is driving their child's focus and behavior, not only soften the symptoms. That is the gap a functional approach aims to fill: we look at the whole person and how their brain and body work together, then build support around the root of the struggle.

How the brain-body connection shapes focus and attention

Attention, impulse control, and emotional regulation depend on different parts of the brain communicating with each other quickly and in sync. When that timing is off, or when sensory, balance, or eye-movement systems are not integrating well, focus and self-regulation suffer.

A functional neurology assessment looks for those weak links instead of stopping at the label. From there, we use specific, repeatable exercises and adjustments designed to strengthen the connections that support attention and calm.

Our approach:
assess, personalize, support

We do not guess. We assess, personalize, and track progress.

1. Comprehensive evaluation

A deep look at your health history and how the nervous system is functioning, so we can connect the dots between the brain, the body, and daily focus and behavior.

2. Personalized plan

A plan built around your goals, your child's age and needs, your lifestyle, and your budget. No one-size-fits-all program.

3. Ongoing support

Regular check-ins, milestone tracking, and proactive adjustments as things change. We are a partner in the process, not a one-visit fix.

Meet Dr. Samantha Brooks

The Brainery was founded by Dr. Samantha Brooks, a holistic chiropractor whose approach to ADHD grew out of both her training and her own family. Her son's transformation through chiropractic care is part of why the practice exists, and it shapes how she works with every child who walks through the door.

Dr. Brooks practices functional neurology, a drug-free discipline focused on how the brain and body communicate. Through advanced training with Focus Academy, she uses brain-based assessments and targeted exercises to support attention, coordination, and self-regulation. She is also certified in prenatal and pediatric care (CACCP) through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, so children of every age receive gentle, developmentally appropriate care. Her training with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition rounds out a whole-person view: focus and behavior are shaped by the nervous system, but also by sleep, nutrition, and daily habits, and she looks at all of it.

  • "Dr Sam took the time to go over all the results with us in detail, explaining what everything meant and how it connected to what we were seeing at home. She's always kind, always patient, and genuinely willing to work around our schedule and what our family needs."

    — Mariela S.

  • Dr. Sam was recommended by a friend whose son was also struggling with ADD/ADHD symptoms. After the initial visit, I had hope for the first time in years. Dr. Sam was patient, kind, engaging, and met James on his level.

    — D.L.

  • "Our experience working with the Brainery has been great! My eight year old son struggles with ADHD type symptoms. We started getting regular adjustments about 10 months ago, and the changes we have seen have been pretty amazing. I would highly recommend working with The Brainery for neurologically focused chiropractic care."

    — Katie. B

  • "Every detail was thoughtfully executed. We're thrilled with the outcome."

What to expect at your first visit

Your first visit starts with a comprehensive evaluation at our Peachtree City office. We review your health history, assess how your body and nervous system are working, and give you a clear picture and a recommended plan. The Brainery is cash-based, with superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement and all pricing explained before care begins.

Drug-free and collaborative, by design

A functional approach is not anti-medication and it is not a replacement for your physician. We work alongside your pediatrician or provider, and we are upfront if you would be better served elsewhere. You stay in the driver's seat for every decision about your family's health. Results vary from person to person, which is why we set clear, specific expectations after your first evaluation rather than promising a fixed outcome.
